Autoren-Porträt
José Miguel Fariña holds a PhD in Ecology from Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Chile and was postdoctoral researcher at Brown University, USA and The Charles Darwin Foundation at the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. His main research topic is ecosystem and community ecology of the sea-land interfase from where he has published more than 30 articles on international peer-review magazines. Actually he is an Associated Professor at Pontificia Univiersidad Catolica in Chile and Visiting Scholar at Brown University, USA.Andrés Camaño, is a Marine Biologist by University of Concepción. He has a diploma on Environmental Engineering from University of Concepción and a diploma on Operational Risk Management from Federico Santa María University. He is currently Environmental Director at Golder Associates and was previously Corporate Environmental, Safety, Occupational Health, and Operational Risk Manager at Arauco Enterprises, and Environmental Affairs Manager at the BHP Billiton-operated Escondida Cooper Mine. He collaborated on 24 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has been co-editor on four books. Andrés Camaño is a member of the Chilean Society for Sea Science and is President of the Marine Contamination Group of the National Oceanographic Committee. He is also a professor in various Environment Master Programs and an advisor for the Upper Management Network of Universidad del Desarrollo.
