Ragnall would be the clan's next chieftain if Flora's father were to nibble off.

And look! As soon as the two cuties have been promised to each other, the father bites the dust.

Just for reasons of the seizure of power, Flora thinks her future husband is the assassin and flees the castle undetected. She finds shelter in a rural area.
However, the two run into each other again. What will happen? Will true love glow?

The book contains all the ingredients that make an excellent historical romance, Scotland, drama, emotions, entanglements, Scotland, intrigue, eroticism, Scotland (did I mention Scotland? Or the Scotsman on a horse? ), misunderstandings and and and.

I like the protagonists and they are developing quite convincingly. Humour is also included, so it doesn't get too serious. Coherent and full of Scottish atmosphere in Scotland. (Did I mention that Scotland is the setting?); D.

Entertaining, great to read! Fun fact: I looked for de Balzac and was surprised that I didn't get a hit. No wonder if it's de Maupassant. How could THAT happen to me? Thank you, Emmanuelle de Maupassant !!!!!

1166, Alba ( Schottland! ) Der Clan der Dalreagh. Flora muß sich mit Ragnall, dem toughen Krieger der Highlands verloben. Wegen ihres jugendlichen Alters hat sie noch ein Jahr Galgenfrist, bevor sie aktiv die Lagerstatt mit dem heißen Hottie teilen soll.
Ragnall wäre der nächste Chieftain des Clans, wenn Floras Vater abnibbeln sollte.

Und sieh an! Kaum sind die beiden Süßen einander versprochen, beißt der Vater ins Gras.

Eben aus Gründen der Machtergreifung hält Flora ihren zukünftigen Ehegespons für den Meuchelmörder und flüchtet unentdeckt die Burg. Sie kommt auf dem Lande unter.
Jedoch laufen die beiden sich wieder über den Weg. Was wird geschehen? Wird wahre Liebe erglühen?

Das Buch enthält alle Ingredienzen, die eine exzellente historische Romanze ausmachen, Schottland, Drama, Emotionen, Verwicklungen, Schottland, Intrigen, Erotik, Schottland ( hatte ich Schottland schon erwähnt? ), Missverständnisse und und und.

Die Protagonisten sind mir sympathisch und entwickeln sich durchaus überzeugend weiter. Humor ist ebenfalls enthalten, sodaß es nicht zu ernst wird. Stimmig und voller schottischer Atmosphäre in Schottland. ( Erwähnte ich bereits, daß Schottland der Schauplatz ist? ) ;D

Kurzweilige, tolle Unterhaltung! Funfact: ich suchte nach de Balzac und wunderte mich, daß ich keinen Treffer landete. Kein Wunder, wenn es de Maupassant heißt. Wie konnte mir DAS nur passieren? Danke, Emmanuelle de Maupassant!!!!!
