Nuno Bicho's research focuses on Iberian Upper Paleolithic ecology, which is known mainly from a few relatively confined areas. He is affiliated with the Universidade do Algarve.

Jonathan Haws' research interests include prehistoric land-use and human decision-making. He is theoretically inclined towards an evolutionary approach to culture change at the regional scale by studying the historical trajectory of human action within an ecological context.

He has been doing archaeological fieldwork in Portugal since 1993. Most of his research focuses on human lifeways during the Middle and Upper Paleolithic.

Dr. Loren Davis has experience working on archaeological sites of all ages, but he is mainly interested in the early record (pre-8,000 BP) of hunter-gatherers in western North America.
