A writer returning home from Palestine to his wife is gently challenged as to where exactly his priorities lie.
'I wrote the play after a number of trips to Palestine working with young playwrights,' explains Grieg. 'It tries to capture the awkwardness of return, because the people at home have carried on and are sort of grounded, while you're kind of still in the air.'
His other plays include The Events; Damascus; Midsummer; Europe and The Architect (Traverse); Stalinland (Citizens', Glasgow); Petra (TAG Theatre Co.); Caledonia Dreaming (7:84 Scotland); and adaptations of The Ubu Plays (Almeida) and Oedipus the King (Theatre Babel). He has written two films: Nightlife (BBC Scotland) and Nothing in the Whole Wide World (United Broadcasting). For radio: Copper Sulphate (BBC Radio 3).
